Hausbrandt is renewing an important partnership that makes the company an ambassador of quality around the world. It is supporting Davide Comaschi, who works with Cast Alimenti, a prestigious culinary school and training ground for teams of professionals who represent excellence in the art of Italian pastry-making, founded by Iginio Massari.

Comaschi, a thirty-year-old chocolate professional, won the title of Italian champion chocolate maker for the creations he presented at the most recent SIGEP show. With Hausbrandt’s support, Comaschi will represent Italy at the World Chocolate Masters 2013 event in Paris, from 28 to 30 October.

Comaschi had his first experience in the dessert sector when he was just thirteen-and-a-half years old, falling in love with this art. In just a few years, he worked his way up from the decoration section to become the head pastry chef at Pasticceria Martesana in Milan. He then strengthened his knowledge and skills, attending various courses at CAST Alimenti cooking school in Brescia, which offers twelve internationally-recognized diplomas in the culinary sector.
In 2010, he joined the Accademia Maestri Pasticceri Italiani (Italian Academy of Master Pastry Makers) and, despite his young age, won various competitions, including a silver medal at the Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie in Lyon in 2011.

World Chocolate Masters is a world championship for chocolate makers in which the greatest chocolate artists compete in front of a jury of international experts. The theme of the 2013 event will be “the architecture of taste”.
Since 1997, Hausbrandt has supported Cast Alimenti, offering high-quality products to Italian pastry artists and supporting the same philosophy of quality and excellence.
